Send your commission request to Karen by filling up the contact form found at the bottom of the home page and specify in your message your pet's name and breed. Karen will reply within 24 hours through your mailbox. (NOTE: always check your spam/junk box if you have not received any reply from her.) Once she contacts you , please send in the best photo of your dog and cat (TIP: it needs to be high resolution so all the details of your pet will be captured). If your pet is no longer around, kindly send the photo with a clear view of the eyes - this is a must. It would be best to send 4-5 photos via email. Once the photo, size and medium (oil or pastel) have been finalized, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required after discussion and agreement on the work that will be done on the photo (cropping, formatting of the portrait). This will cover the materials that will be used in the project. At this stage, background for the portrait will also be discussed. Once this has been finalized, and the work starts, no changes can be made. Payment: PayPal is used for payment as well as invoicing. Once you receive the invoice you can pay through your PayPal account or any debit or credit card. The invoice states the deposit amount as well as the other terms and condition, shipping policy. Shipping: There is an extra charge for shipping and depends on the painting (please see pricing details below). Oil paintings require larger packaging and will cost more. Signature confirmation is required once shipped. Other shipping options are available for discussion. Cancellation: if the commission is canceled prior to any work, the deposit will be refunded in full. Once the work starts, the deposit will be non-refundable. Orders: First come, first serve basis and if there is a waitlist, your name will be added. Once the portrait is ready, a proof will be sent for approval. Adjustments can be made for minor corrections. Once the changes had been made and approved, the final payment must be sent and the artwork will be shipped the next business day after the payment has been received in full. A tracking number will be provided.

It would be best that photos are taken using natural light without any flash setting and outdoors. Best time of day for picture taking: cloudy days, early mornings, late evening sun. The flash distorts the color and shapes of your actual pet. Flash in general tend to work against creating a beautiful portrait of your pet. High Resolution photo is a must! This enables the painter to take in all the details of your pet. This makes painting easier and lends to a truthful and realistic way of painting your pet. Karen guarantees 100% of her commission work. If you are not satisfied with the portrait via the proof, you are at no obligation to send in the full payment. However, the deposit will be forfeited to cover the cost of materials used.
